  • 1. What is CMYK?
  • CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. This is the color model used in printing.
  • 2. What is RGB?
  • RGB stands for Red, Green, and Blue, these color are used in monitors and projection screens only and cannot be used for print.
  • 3. What is resolution?
  • Resolution is the dots of ink or electronic pixels which make up an image. Resolution is measured in DPI (dots per inch).
  • 4. What is PDF?
  • PDF stands for Portable Document Format and is a stantard document format used for print. There are many different types of PDF's, what we require is PDF/X-1a.
  • 5. Which format do I have to save the Artwork in?
  • Artwork and documents you submit to us must be in PDF format specifically PDF/X-1a. If you need a quick tutorial on how to save the Artwork click here.
  • 6. How to scan?
  • When scanning a document make sure that you scan at 300 dpi and crop out any extra blank margin out of the document.
  • 7. What sizes do you print?
  • The sizes we print are:
  • 4x6 inches
  • 5x7 inches
  • 8.5x11 inches
  • 8.5x14 inches
  • 9x12 inches
  • 12x18 inches

  • 36x48 inches
  • We print custom sizes as well just call us and ask!
  • 8. What is bleed?
  • Bleed refers to printing past the edge of a document. This means that the bleed will be cut when the document is trimmed. Please allow a minimum of 1/8 (0 .125) of an inch from the edge of your document.
